This Day In History . . . .

It is often noted that the current generation doesn't value it's freedom and privelages because we didn't have to fight for them = => we inherited them.

As history is very important to me, we're going to do a Honestly I - Black Fact every now and again. The Black Fact isn't going to be the same ol repetitious stuff that we typically here in February (Black History Month), it's going to be something I truly didn't know. Enjoy.

Benjamin Banneker
August 19, 1791

Benjamin Banneker writes letter to then secretary of state Thomas Jefferson. The letter showed the hypocrisy of slavery. Banneker challenged the idea of freedom for whites as the ascribed it to be the same freedom that should be granted to Africans.
